Combos Audition
To audition for combos, please follow these requirements:
-
Please play a jazz standard (Blue Bossa, Autumn Leaves, Caravan, etc.).
-
We encourage the use of backing tracks (iReal Pro app or tracks can also be found on YouTube). Please contact use if you need assistance.
-
Horn players and singers should play/sing the melody once and solo over the changes one time.
-
Rhythm section players should play the melody, perform their instrument's normal role through the changes one time, then solo over the changes one time.
-
Please honestly answer how many scales you know. This is only requested so we can place you with the correct group of musicians. It will not preclude your inclusion.
You can send your audition piece as an MP4 (video format) or an MP3 (audio format).
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PUT YOUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER ON YOUR FILES!
